Description:
Its purpose is to help us explore the subjective perception of time, which has become increasingly relevant in today’s digital world, where we are often consumed by it. Until now, our understanding of time has been largely objective, but deeper exploration of its subjective nature could fundamentally alter how we perceive it. This shift could require new research methods and evolving experiments, which in turn demand a building that is not limited by fixed capabilities but functions as an adaptive system, adjusting to the needs of its users and context. Time, as both a constant and fluid element, would shape the building’s purpose and design, allowing it to evolve by expanding, contracting, or transforming its spaces to accommodate new understandings. As our perception of time deepens and context changes, the building would continue to adapt, becoming part of a continuous cycle limited only by the material lifespan of its components. In this way, Lab 247 is a solution to the unknowns of future discoveries.
