This design explores the adaptive reuse of a church, addressing the broader issue of maintaining underused sacred spaces. The proposal reimagines the church as a facility that serves the interests of different faiths and the wider community. The multifunctional altar allows the space to be configured according to different religious practices, thereby fostering inclusivity and dialogue across faiths. The integration of a youth centre introduces a vital social function, establishing the church as a dual-purpose space for worship and community gathering. This secures the church’s relevance by aligning its spiritual functions with broader social and cultural needs.
