Description:
The project develops a phased demolition method and construction to counter the usual gentrification and displacement threads from renewals needed in areas with sinking buildings. An extreme example of that is Bloemhof Zuid where not only is problem with the weak soil but also most of the building were meant to be temporal so it was saved on foundation during construction. Project combines various social management methods, urban planning theories, participation and fast, organic, lightweight construction method. All those elements are combined to foster discussion about renewal in such problematic areas.
